Is more than a hobby – it is his passion

He wants to continue developing himself and turn karting from his hobby into a professional racing career. Gijs has already gained experience with Den Hartog Racing and has participated in the Dutch Rental Karting Championship (NK). His goal goes further: Gijs is already looking ahead to new opportunities to improve his skills and increase his professionalism. An important goal is owning his own kart, which will allow him to race more independently and further build his career. The GK4 Championship forms an ideal stepping stone toward professional racing. Recently, Gijs took part in a test day with D.F.K in Genk and Mariembourg, where he became familiar with the 4-stroke Formula Honda class and the 2-stroke IAME X30 class and took his next step toward professional racing. Next year, Gijs will participate in the 2026 Formula Honda class of the GK4 Championship together with D.F.K.
